Dersa (Algerian Chile Paste)
"Hot, Spicy, But most importantly TASTY as Hell !"
A delightful mix of spices and garlic with olive oil, Can be used as a compliment to other dishes.
Can Be eaten with remotely anything !
Ingredients
- 4 cloves garlic - peeled, halved, and germ (green sprout) removed
- ½ small red chile pepper, seeded and coarsely chopped
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Steps
- Place garlic, chile pepper, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in a mortar.
- grind into a paste using a pestle.
- Pour in olive oil and mix well, as simple as that !
